PURPOSE This Work Method is intended to be used for the procurement of low risk, low value, sublet work which is defined by the applicable drawings and specifications. It should not be used where the subcontractor would be expected to engage in design or engineering activities as part of his services. Pricing can be either firm lump-sum or firm unit prices, including or excluding sales and use taxes. However, the total subcontract price cannot exceed $25,000.00.
2.0
SCOPE The field subcontract is to be used typically in a field environment for low risk, low value work where minimal time is allowed for the placement of the subcontract. If time allows or risk is assessed as moderate or high, formal subcontract procedures should be used. Only those with Field Subcontracts Authority may secure bids or issue field subcontracts.

RESPONSIBILITIES The Project Procurement and Materials Representatives are responsible for ensuring that the working practices established by the Work Method are implemented.

Enter the date that the agreement was reached with the Subcontractor. This may be, but would not necessarily be, the same as the "Date Signed" by a principal of the Subcontractor and the Project Manager (or his duly authorized representative). 4.
"Subcontract Number" Short Form/Field Subcontracts shall be sequentially numbered.

"Requisition No." Enter the Material Requisition Number that authorized this Subcontract in accordance with Project Procedure / Guidelines.

"Kellogg Brown & Root Job Number / ing Code" Enter the appropriate Job Number and ing Code.
7.
"Project Name" Enter the project Name, or Client Name and Project Location.
8.
"State Contractor's License Number" If the project is in a state that requires state licensing of contractors, enter the Subcontractor's State License Number here. Otherwise insert "N/A". The Procurement Materials Department will assist you in the determination of this requirement.
9.
"State" Enter the state's name is a State Contractor's License Number is entered in 6. Otherwise insert "N/A".
10.
"Date of Issue" Enter the date of issue of the Subcontractor's State Contractor's License Number. Otherwise insert "N/A".
11.
"Subcontractor" Enter the Subcontractor's complete responsible individual and phone number.

"Sublet Work" Enter a concise and precise statement of the work to be performed by the Subcontractor.

"Drawings & Specifications" List the drawings and specifications applicable to the performance of the sublet work. Include title, number and date of original issue, as well as the number and date of issue of each revision.
14.
"Time of Performance" Enter the schedule for the start and comparison of the sublet work. "Per project manager's instructions" or any other like statement is not sufficient.
15.
"Price" Enter the firm lump-sum price, including all applicable sales and use taxes. If firm unit prices must be used, specify the estimated or exact quantities as well as units of measure for each quantity, and extend them to show the maximum expenditure will not exceed $25,000.00.
16.
" of Payment" Normally will be "Net 30/No Retainage". However, if there will be progress payments, or if retainable will be withheld, it must be so stated.

"Correspondence" Enter the jobsite mailing address, as well as the full name and job title of the individual to whom all correspondence and invoices will be sent.

"Attachments" Copies of all attachments will be affixed to all copies of the executed Field Subcontract. Drawings and specifications listed in 13 should not be entered here. a.
Standard General Conditions will be attached to all copies of every executed Field Subcontract, unless there is a project

specific set of General Conditions. Where Special Conditions for the project have been developed, they will be attached to all copies of every executed Field Subcontract.
